About JITTAUN

Jittaun was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey and Switzerland. She combines music and dance to create her unique style. Jittaun started writing music very young and always loved to sing and dance. She was active in musicals, choir, and theater dramas from elementary to high school.

While an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, Jittaun released her first single, "Glitter," on On-E Records/Valley Entertainment in August 2021 as a captivating introduction to her musical style. She fused rap and an R&B hook to create a song about letting go of the old and bringing in the new. Her performance at the label release party garnered over 100,000 views across various social media platforms.

Jittaun released her second single, "En Calor," the following year. This single is a fusion of English and Spanish, where Jittaun pays respects to the Latino community, inspired by her upbringing in a large Hispanic community in New Jersey. The song's hook is delivered in Spanish, adding a distinctive touch to the overall composition. It gained widespread attention with over a million views after a TikTok of President Obama dancing, with En Calor as the background track, went viral. Her record label, On-E Records, originally posted it.

Jittaun's third single, "Bounce," paid homage to the famous Southern dance style of 'twerking,' showcasing her ability to infuse contemporary trends with her distinctive flair. Her fourth single, released in October 2023, "Down For It," showcased Jittaun's versatility as an artist. Once again, she blends rap and singing to captivate audiences with its infectious rhythm and empowering lyrics.

Jittaun released her self-titled EP "Jittaun" in June 2024. It featured a previously unreleased single, "Flowers." Flowers is a unique track for Jittaun. It starts with a sultry R&B vibe, but then it lashes into an insane beat drop, with lyrics sure to ignite feelings of confidence and emotional fierceness. Jittaun's newest single, "LMK," short for Let Me Know, brings a rock element to her music. Produced by a trio of all-star producers, Kellindo (Janelle Monae,) Justin Zim (Muni Long,) and Cody Shallow, it has a catchy hook that will get everyone on their feet and onto the dance floor.
